Purpose-Built Medical Supply Cases for the First Responder

August 2, 2024

Summary

In emergency medical scenarios, every second counts. Quick and easy access to portable medical supplies that could mean the difference between life and death are essential for EMTs and paramedics. Mobile cases provide a great solution, but not every case stands up to the rigor of emergency response situations. Cases need to be lightweight, compact, easily accessible, and well organized, especially in time-sensitive moments of need.

Challenges

  • Weight: standard cases are heavy, making them difficult to transport
  • Size: standard cases tend to be bulky to fit all essential medical supplies
  • Access: standard latches can be challenging to open in time sensitive situations
  • Organization: standard cases lack a way to organize medical supplies

Solution: 1465EMS Care Case

In partnership with local Fire Departments, Pelican developed the 1465EMS Care Case for when every second counts. Weighing in at 13.2 pounds (empty), the lightweight, crushproof, and dustproof Pelican Air 1465EMS case delivers reliable protection for vital medical supplies without the weight burden. The Press & Pull latches are field tested for extreme pressure and impact situations but are specifically designed to be easy to open when immediate access is needed. The three-tiered customizable pullout tray system delivers the flexibility to organize medical gear to any configuration. And, with three transparent lockable compartments, controlled substances are easy to view, secure, and safely stow for a later time.
